The day from hell

Hellooooo there and thanks for visiting my blog. This is the first time i’ve ever done anything like this… so I hope you like. I’m gonna start of slow… I’ve got a story for you. It happened on my way to work today. It kinda made me laugh… so figured it’d be worth writing about.
So I take the underground to work most days. I’d rather not as it’s always packed tight full of people. Usually I’ve got my face rammed into someone’s arm pit or I’ve got some old lady groping my butt or worse… some old guy. I knew it was gonna be one of those days as soon as I woke up. My alarm didn’t go off! Don’t you hate that feeling when you wake up late and you’re scrambling around to make up time. The problem is, you’re half asleep, which makes things loads worse. So, I’m running around drinking my orange juice, eating cereal and getting undressed to try and get in the shower. I’m all lathered up in the shower… I’m washing my hair, I’ve got soap on my face and the water cuts out — just stops. WTF? So I’m there, blind, trying to figure out what the hell is going on. I can’t get the water back on so i pull the shower curtain back and start clawing around for a towel. I’m half in the bath tub and halfout, reaching across the bathroom. Then, out of nowhere, the shower comes on. It startles me and as the shower curtain is half open, water goes everywhere so I slip over onto the floor, pulling the curtain down with me. I still have soap in my eyes, water is going everywhere and its so slippery that I’m struggling to get to my feet!
This is all before I’m able to get out of my apartment! So now I’m really late. I manage to get the soap out of my eyes and turn the shower off… but the mess is going to have to wait. I’m drying my self while running round the apartment gathering my work clothes. I’m hoping around trying to pull my trousers up whileputting my shirt on. In hindsight… it’d probably have been quicker if I focused on one task at a time… but i was in a panic.

By the time I’d left my apartment I was super late. I’m running to the underground station at full pace… I get down the stairs in time to see my carriage leave the platform…!!!!!! Could this day get any worse?? Yes! I’ve forgotten my brief case, which had my wallet in it. I ran back to the apartment to get it, which took me another 20 minutes. By the time I got to the office I was almost two hours late AND I was supposed to have a meeting first thing in the morning. My boss wasn’t happy… but that’s not the worst thing. It was only when I sat at my desk that I realized my shirt was on inside out… a day to be forgotten for sure.
